Who's aromantic in here? What are your experiences? What is, for that matter, romance to you? I can start: I'm aro, and found that out soon after finding out that I'm ace. While the discovery of my aceness really resonates with me in a positive way,I was more reluctant embracing aro-ness. Now, I think it explains a lot (to myself, but it just makes people around me more confused,I think). I still have no good definition of "romantic love". Do I experience love? Absolutely. I've got friends and family that I will (and have) dropped everything to help them. They light up my life, and I often find myself thinking of them and how they make my life complete. I am passionate about them. But people often describe romance the same way. What's the difference? IS there one? Or is this another arbitrary division that is convenient to maintaining the current systems of power that socially and economically reward certain relationships over others?
