Hey everyone, 

I haven't been on the forum much since the change but I'm trying to get back into doing stuff again. 

For those who don't know, I was diagnosed with cancer in November 2016 which was the same month I was licensed to be a foster parent. Fostering has been put on hold until I'm done with chemotherapy which is the end of June 2017. It's been a rough 8 months for me. My chemo mixture was changed a bit last month which means I no longer have some side effects but unfortunately exhaustion is not one of them. 

Any way, I'm looking forward to July and no more chemo. I'll still have to have tests and scans regularly to make sure it isn't coming back but at least they aren't every other week like chemo. I feel like I'm ready to stop hiding in my bunker and ready to take on the world again. I'm looking forward to Pride which is on August 28 in my city. I might volunteer to help with stuff since I'm not having any luck finding other aces on AVEN to meet up with. 

Um, so here's random stuff about me..

I have two cats. 

I'm gray ace technically but it's been over ten years since I was attracted to anyone and that only happened once or twice in my life so I consider myself asexual.

I'm 48 which really surprises me sometimes because I don't feel different than when I was in my 20's or 30's. 

Shows I like- Doctor Who, Orphan Black, Teen Mom (Please don't judge me. I can't explain its pull on me.), Modern Family, misguided theory shows like Ancient Aliens and America Unearthed (Love to yell at the TV during these), ancient history documentaries (I like ancient Greece, Sumer,  Assyria, Gobekli-Tepe, stone and iron age stuff.)  Sci-Fi stuff. 

I've live in my home state of Ohio my whole life but I've moved away from the very rural and religious area I grew up in. I love my city and the openness and acceptance of the people here.
